The Wandering Jew Purple Heart plant

This is in the Spiderwort plant family, last year I planted three little sprigs in my herb garden. This year the basil, oregano, mint and rosemary have fought the Purple Heart all year just to stay alive. It actually smothered my sage while I wasn’t looking and the sage died. 😊
Beautiful, what a delicate little flower.

How sad for the sage , but a beautiful little flowering plant - Which I used to have in the garden, but had forgotten all about till I saw this !

So it seems the Wandering Jew is an invasive species. Hope your herbs survive.

Very pretty! We had this in Houston - it was a pretty strong plant and spread nicely in our garden.
