I lost a bet with our tour guide at the Virgin Gorda Baths in Tortola on this leaf's origin. He said it was a sea grape leaf and I said it could not be a grape leaf, it came from huge trees on the island. From his smile I thought he was teasing me but he wasn't, those trees produce sea grapes and the islanders make wine from them. The shells and sea glass are from Shell Beach on St. Barth's, oh what a grand time we had. I put these on my pool's edge for this photo, guess I'm yearning to be back on the beach, ha. I'll fill in my 365 calendar with vacation photos over the next few days!
Fantastic shot of this wonderful collection of treasures from your vacation! Love your narrative! Looking forward to viewing your special vacation photos. :-)
**I LOVE THIS**!! I'm delighted to read that you brought all this home! Why not go to a frame shop (Michael's, perhaps, and get your discount coupon...) and see if that leaf can't be mounted within a shadowbox frame. I'd lay those pieces on it in this same fashion and secure them... That would easily last for your lifetime! It's so natural and gorgeous! Good luck!
