The latest "thing"......

Ball Moss - Tillandsia recurvata - is the biggest topic of conversation in the Texas Hill Country right now. It is a flowering plant of the Bromeliad family that attaches to the live oak trees. It is not a parasite as nearly everyone believes, it will not kill the tree as absolutely everyone believes. It will make the trees unsightly because the weak limbs break off from its weight. It's one of those natural phenomena that occur from time to time that cause quite a commotion, just because they are not according to our perceived plans. Tree trimmers are making a fortune cutting the ball moss out of trees in the larger cities in the Hill Country, designers have decided ball moss is a lovely thing to pile in a bowl on a coffee table. You can buy a box of ball moss on Etsy.....in other words, ball moss is the latest "fad", get yours while it's hot!
Ok, Story Lady! THAT is a fabulous presentation! How hysterically funny that there's always an entrepreneurial individual (or many) who will hop on the band wagon to sell what others want to remove! May they make their fortune and serve as a successful example (if anyone's watching!)

@Weezilou @bkbinthecity @joemuli @gijsje @happysnaps @nicolecampbell @onewing @littleconnie @gigiflower Alas, I should have gathered some balls on my recent trip to the Hill Country! I could have gotten rich, selling it on ebay. You can never tell what is going to grab the public's attention, I expect to see the moss spray painted gold and piled in bowls with red Christmas ornaments, this holiday season. Ha!
