Our campfire at the cabins by louannwarren

Our campfire at the cabins

When we were in the hill country last month we enjoyed building campfires in the evening. There's something soothing about ending the day around a campfire. Even though it wasn't even chilly outside, we still wanted a fire! This is for the June words theme - fire.
looks lovely and warm - it's a bit chilly here atm

Looks warm & cosy - there is something about fire isn't there, probably some primative fascination, but somehow you just have to watch it!

I agree about a campfire. But nowadays we have to be so careful not to cause wildfires!

Fantastic fire capture, Lou Ann! Fav! I love fires! Along with our patio fire pit we have a large burning pit where I burn brush and dead branches . . . I thoroughly enjoy fires in both 'pits'. Here's a photo I posted in May when I was trying to burn as much of the dead branches/brush as possible before we left for Canada: https://365project.org/gaylewood/365/2017-05-11

Super shot. Haven't sat around a campfire for years. Not much opportunity here because of the risk of bushfires.

Looks like her shoes in the fire. I'm sure it was from the Smores. Fav!

Campfires are great to gather around- and I especially like the opportunity they present to make s'mores!

Thank you so much for your comments and favs! We laughed because we brought wood but no s'mores makings!

@gaylewood you should have plenty of wood in the hill country, I loved your big brush fire burning post, you do know how to burn. Smile.

@taffy yes, we bragged on our husbands and their fire building skills that night. Good Boy Scouts, both of them!
