This bald eagle was high, high in the pine trees at Trout Creek on July 4th. I could not have been happier, to see the symbol of America on our Independence Day! He is on our coin currency, and on the Great Seal of the United States. He represents freedom to all Americans! Oh, and he isn't bald.
Oh I so love these fabulous birds! I was lucky enough to see two as I arrived in Lunenburg a few weeks ago and got some shots. So exciting to see these birds in the wild! Great capture! Fav!
We are so fortunate to have them nesting in our area. I photographed one last year. It wasn't the best of skies in the background (a very gray day) but it was a start. Great shot!!
I was so excited to capture this beautiful bird. He was so high in the pine trees and I was on a boat....and of course my camera was hand held! So the odds were not really in my favor. He was a speck of white when I saw him and just knew he was a bald eagle! Thank you so much for your comments and favs on my July 4th "America" photo!
