The city ranchers have a couple of Texas Longhorns on their property, they are always fun to see. The Longhorns are extremely feed and drought tolerant, they can go ling distances without food or drink. Their horns are as much as 6 feet from point to point, talk about strong neck muscles! The bulls and steers both have horns. They are easy to raise and their meat is quite popular, at least here in Texas.
Wow Lou Ann! You are able to share something here that most people around the world might not be familiar with! Ken was long-ago gifted with a set of these for his office wall, and I would imagine they're still somewhere in storage... I'm curious to ask him where they are or what happened to them!
His attitude was cool, he wasn't the least bit aggressive, just curious about me, he just licked his lips and kept looking at me. Thank you so much for your comments and favs, this fine fellow has ended up on the PP because of you! @Weezilou The funniest use for these horns are when people mount them like a hood ornament on their cars! If Ken doesn't want his (if you ever find them-ha) you can sell them on Craig's list as a hood ornament. Lol.
