The sun’s light travels a longer distance through the earth’s atmosphere for sunsets (as opposed to midday when the light travels the shortest distance and is usually bright white). For red sunsets the light is refracted off of atmospheric particles, the more particles the more it appears as a red or orange color. This for the word of the day “red in nature”.
Thank you for your wonderful comments and favs, you very kindly put my blazing sky on the TP and PP, thank you so much! I have to confess I googled “why are sunsets red?” and learned about the particles, etc.
