“I don’t care how close you get with that camera, this rock is warm and I’m not leaving!”

This fellow stayed put on this landscaping rock with me doing all manner of yard work around him. We’ve finally had a bit of cool weather and the rocks absorb the sun’s rays, so I know he was glad to be there.
He looks very happy and is certainly giving you a hard stare.

He is definitely standing his ground.

Fantastic capture of this good looking fellow! I'm certainly enjoying this cooler weather. It's so much more pleasant doing yard work when the temps are in the 70s compared to closer to 100 degrees. :-)

Thank you so much for your great comments. Our weather is finally turning a bit cooler and the lizards are almost sluggish. They do a great job all summer keeping the mosquitos and flies under control so I always let them hang out wherever they want to!

Great shot of the lizard enjoying the sun while it can.

I'm just a sucker for a cute little lizard! Your caption is brilliant, and I just know you read his mind quite accurately! Have had some super-busy weeks, and returned here to house guests, already moved in! Had a great time, but this is my first free day and I hardly know what to start on first! I'll be returning to 365 soon! I've missed you!

@Weezilou Hi! So great to hear from you. I’ve missed you, that’s for sure! Your cactus orchids are growing like crazy, no flowers this summer but I bet I will have flowers next summer!

He does look comfortable on the rock.

what a beauty - they do need the sun to warm themselves - and digest if they have eaten recently

Beautiful capture.

I'm definitely not a reptile fan, but I know they keep the bug population down, so as long as they don't come near me, they're fine! hehe Good shot!

Happy to hear the good news! I don't know why my life is always on an uptick...perhaps I bring it on? I said yes to 3 more people coming to study with a well-known string quartet...they'll be with us a while, but I'm not sure how long. Doesn't mean I can't get back to business, but I've been *distracted*! I'll return eventually...don't forget me!
