I was drinking coffee and reading the newspaper poolside when our Mockingbird decided he wanted a drink in the birdbath. It’s already 90 degrees Fahrenheit, we are in for a stretch of hot, hot weather. It’s so early in the year for this blistering heat.
I really like your POV for this photo...it's like we're peeking through the flowers at the mockingbird. As I've mentioned before, I think it's awesome that the mockingbirds visit your yard every day. :-)
Blistering heat certainly does describe it! It was over 100 degrees here today. I took my photos before noon and I've been inside ever since. I got a bit sunburned when I went kayaking Friday (even with sunscreen on) and it's still very uncomfortable out in the sun/heat. We're leaving for Canada on June 12th...I'll definitely appreciate the cooler temps up north if this extreme heat continues here in Texas. :-)
Flowers add some lovely color - looks like we're both in for refilling the bird bath on a daily basis with these temperatures. Hated hearing the a/c come on by 8:30 this morning - (and I have it set at 80!) Don't think this is going to be a nice summer. Keep looking online for some place to visit that is cooler :)
@gaylewood oh my, I envy you! Canada! How wonderful. Yes, we are pretty worried about our water restrictions, our green grass won’t be green for long. We can water twice a week! I do look forward to your Canada photos!
A hot Sunday in my part of the world too, but it's raining now and I hear thunder...

I really like the bird bath too.
A nice dash of colour.
