Before the storm by louannwarren

Before the storm

I’m so glad I took this photo. We had a huge rain and wind storm late Wednesday. Many trees were lost in our community, all my flowers were laying over the next morning. I lost coleus and gladioli, some flowers have recovered, but not many. (I just edited this photo to remove some blurry flowers on the left side, so this is a re-do) smile.
@gisjge and @annied. Thank you for your comments on my previous photo, I decided to take the blurred flowers out of the left edge of the photo!

I'm so sorry you lost so many of the flowers in your garden. We didn't get a drop of rain, but I'm glad we didn't get your storm. This is really beautiful. I love your capture of the lighting.

Beautiful shot with great lighting. We've been having horrible rain here and flooding, too, Lou Ann.

a wonderful capture and lighting. It is always sad to lose plants and flowers to the elements. One just has to keep on planting ;-)

Gladioli, you don't often see these flowers in gardens these days. Shame they were damaged in the storm, a bit vulnerable because of their height. Lovel light through the petals.

So sorry to hear about your storm - they were telling us to expect that today and have had nothing but a few clouds. Hate to see trees destroyed - glad you got this beauty with the sun shining through - the color is so pretty.

@snowy @happysnaps Thank you! We worked all day yesterday clearing out everything that just couldn’t recover and mulching all of our beds. I’m sore today, ha!
