The survivor

I just knew my neighbor’s palm tree was dead from the week of 14 degrees F. It recovered nicely, thank goodness! It’s so hot now it’s hard to believe it was ever that cold. 😎
Love your composition. Glad their tree survived!

It's the perfect pov for this tree's story. Always looking up!

Great pov with the palm and sky !

It does look nice and healthy. Beautiful shot.

Great pov!

What a hardy soul in that tree! And how crazy is the weather with its extreme swings!

Great pov and clouds

Good sky

@taffy well the 14 degree days were in maybe February. But still. My biggest concern was that the tree had no protection during the cold spells. I guess it’s lication (between our’s and our neighbor’s houses) protected it during the bitter cold spell.

It certainly looks fine & healthy now Lou Ann, beautiful fronds waving in that blue sky!
July 14th, 2018
It does look very healthy. Love it in front of those teasing clouds.
July 14th, 2018
What a transformation, great against that beautiful sky.

Not looking dead at all! I'll tell you, we're feeling the "One-day-hot-one-day-cold" swing up here, too! We turn on fans, and soon, ask to have the heat turned on! I think the locals weather it better than we do! (Hang in there little Palm Tree!)

@Weezilou as I told Taffy, the 14 degree days were in February - the very ones that killed my Epiphyllums. 😢
July 14th, 2018
Looking nice and healthy now, the clouds look a bit threatening though
July 15th, 2018
Love the POV on this lovely looking tree 😊
July 15th, 2018
Good to see it survived.

@ziggy77 @joansmor @milaniet @kwind @summerfield @onewing @bigmxx @suzanne234 @happysnaps @henrir @happypat @mave @carolmw @carole_sandford @olivetreeann @beryl @mittens @radiogirl @gijsje @Weezilou @taffy Thank you so much for commenting and favs on this sweet palm. Squirrels (and other animals 😉) nest in it, I was so sure the neighbor’s lack of attention during those cold February days had killed it. We are super glad it’s still here and green and healthy!

wonderful shot, love seeing something tropical
July 15th, 2018
Cool perspective.
July 16th, 2018
@louannwarren I miss my neighbors palm that they removed...it had the loveliest rustling sound in the breeze! Many reason to love a palm tree!
July 16th, 2018
@Weezilou it does rustle in the wind, that home is on the market (again) and I’m so hopeful that whoever purchases the house will keep it!
July 16th, 2018
Such a dramatic shot of the sky! So happy the palm tree survived! Fav.
