A beautiful bright spot in your garden.

What an odd looking flower this is with the sigma stand-in so high waving its pollen cover to the bees! Apparently they attract humming birds?

I don't think I've ever seen this growing - just in pictures of it. How neat to come across.

@bkbinthecity @farmreporter @gijsje @bruni @beryl @summerfield @henrir @mave @mittens @ludwigsdiana @carolmw @happypat @suzanne234 @onewing @taffy @danette @happysnaps @maggiemae @milaniet @kwind Thank you for your wonderful comments! I didn’t expect this to even bloom this year because of the heat. A friend gave me a start of it several years ago, it didn’t do anything where I planted it but came up across the lawn the next year. It’s such an unusual little flower.

@maggiemae I’ve never seen a hummingbird around it!

So sorry for all of your heat - must feel pretty miserable when you are outside! Nice that you have a flower that enjoys the warmth!

@365karly1 it was only 100 yesterday, so things are looking up! Smile.

Very colorful! Glad to hear you have some plants surviving in the heat.
