An East Texas sunrise

We were traveling to my husband’s naval ship reunion in Alabama yesterday, so we rose quite early (to get ahead of the Dallas traffic). We were almost to the Texas-Louisiana border when the sun started its ascent across the sky.

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments and favs! The cotton in the fields on either side of the road had been exfoliated and was ready for harvest. The huge harvesters were starting their work and there was a lot of dust in the air, I’m just glad it didn’t billow across this scene!
