You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear, but you can try! The faded Christmas Amaryllis, in all it’s faffed glory. Smile.
This is really pretty! I love how you painted it! Did you do this in photoshop? It's got great texture to it!

@jenp @ludwigsdiana thank you so much. I couldn’t think of a good way to display the last stages of the Amaryllis, so I put it in front of that mirror. Just having fun, too cold and miserable to be outside right now. Thank you both for your faves!

I think you have done remarkably well and I feel like some of the Dutch Masters created some paintings just like this

@ludwigsdiana @joysfocus @mittens @henrir @pcoulson @cindymc @joansmor @pdulis @beryl @onewing @carole_sandford @grammyn Thank you all for your comments and faves. You would have laughed at me, I was determined to get a decent shot of this last stage Amaryllis. Believe me, it traveled to every room in the house before it landed in front of that mirror. Smile.

Yes, it does look a little droopy next to its full-bloomed neighbor!

Neat processing and a great thought to use the mirror.

Very effective processing -- simplifying it to convey the shape and the passage of time in its life cycle.
