My Purple Heart

My friend Lynda gave me a few pulled up Purple Hearts last year. This year they have multiplied like crazy. Another name is Wandering Jew, mother called them Purple Jew. Whatever their name they are hardy enough for our weather and quite pretty I think.

So pretty and a beautiful capture with great focus and light in the delightful little flower - I had forgotten , but my Mum called it Wandering Jew - I have a plant of it in the conservatory I haven't notice the flowers yet - ah ! yes there are a few flowers !! Proper name = tradescantia !! Fav for a great macro shot !

I love how the light is falling on the center yellow bits of the flower- beautiful! I've always called it Wandering Jew as well- had plenty of them on my window sill in my college days! Not so any more.
