We were sitting outside and plane after plane was coming to DFW. I doubt they were full but we were encouraged they were flying! It was cloudy and misty but the sun burned through and the plane came out of the clouds at the same time.
@maggiemae thank you, the planes have just started flying again in the last few days. @olivetreeann thank you! I know what you mean about the noise but really we just tune them out when we are outside.
Haven’t heard or seen many planes here. Though I am told they are still coming in, I believe people have to be quarantined for 14 days though after they get here.
Oh, geez, I shudder at the thought of flying....ever again. And not because of the virus necessarily. I have over 4 million miles on American Airlines alone (so obviously I know the flight into DFW all too well). I just can't take it any more, though, as the whole process has become so tedious and annoying. I can't imagine how much worse things will be should we ever get back to "normal." Cool photo though!
@stray_shooter Jerry loved his job, auditing credit unions all over the country. He finally said he just couldn’t take the hassle of flying anymore and he retired. Flying is tedious and anxious at best. I so understand your feelings. I will say, though, with all those miles you could fly to Rome to see Domenico at least. Or Jerome in Austria!
@louannwarren Actually I did just that a few years ago. Flew first class to Australia to visit Poppo and co. That chewed up some of my stash of miles! First class made it a little more palatable.
