On our road trip to East Texas this week we stopped by Caddo Lake. It is home to a Bald Cypress forest in it’s ponds and bayous, many draped in Spanish Moss. It’s a lovely, kind of out of the way lake. The tree “knees” (roots) are amazing. This for the word today “tree”.
A favbulous cchoice of subject for the word if the day! A fabulous photo of it too! The casinos in LA are so much closer to Alabama than Texas. I contemplated taking a road trip myself but it is not going to be possible. I was hoping you were coming further east but........another time Lou Ann
@grammyn I have wanted to see the Cypress trees at Caddo for quite a while. The best time to go is in the fall or spring before it’s so hot. There are boat tours we learned about while we were there. Maybe someday we will go back there, it’s such an out of the way place! It was so good to get away. Just so nice to take a little trip, something we’ve always taken for granted, not any more. 😊
