The bee’s head in the Dragon’s Head

I just wasn’t fast enough to get this fellow between his dives into the flowers on this Obedient Plant, also known as Dragon Head. It’s a wonderful perennial in DIL Jill’s garden, there were a dozen bees practically in a frenzy over the obvious abundance of pollen yesterday.
Nice shot of a beautiful flower. We just planted an obedient plant but ours is blue. I know what you mean about bees - they are very busy with getting nectar and move quickly from flower to flower.

@k9photo it’s just such a beautiful flowering plant, each spike was so heavy with flowers they couldn’t stand up!

It’s a fantastic photo and tells a much better story with his head buried in the flower.

Great bee shot- I've heard from some on here that bees can get "drunk" on pollen though I've yet to see it. I wonder if this fellow was a bit tipsy when he finally finished. Good catch!
