One of the weaners that has recently been separated from his Mum. I feel for them when they are being weaned, but at between 175 and 250kgs they just wear out the cow if they continue to feed from them.
I like the look of despair and sadness on this one's face, and think the rails on the yards add to it's isolation. It tucked into some lucerne hay about a minute later so all wasn't so bad.
