Little Ginger died today. She was about 14 yrs old! Ginger had a long life and was quite a trooper- surviving a nasty large dog attack and other hair raising events. She was my niece's dog and we'll all miss this little face!
You've captured such a lovely portrait of little Ginger - fav for the shot! And how sad it is to say good-bye to faithful friends. Jinks is 13, follows me everywhere in the house and settles down where I settle. As our vet said, enjoy while you can.
Oh goodness. I'm so sorry. There is nothing harder. We have an almost 2 year old basset hound now, but before her we had an English Bulldog named Jim. He passed away going on 4 years now and I still think of him and miss him often. Sweet capture here.
I'm so sad to read this. No matter how long a life, it's hard to part with our pet family members. Someone told me that the minute a dog enters your life you are on your way to a broken heart. But none of us would let that deter us from having them in our lives.
What a sweet face. I bet she was a wonderful pal to your niece for all those years. It's sad to think that your family is minus this little trooper now.
