Bobcat Fire Update:
105,000 acres burned and15% contained.
Just after officials announced that firefighters had beaten back advancing flames and the 116-year-old Mt Wilson Observatory was safe, firefighters are battling flare-ups at the top of the mountain. Firefighters have already used half of a 530,000-gallon wafter tank on the observatory grounds. Crews are working to refill the tank to keep the water pressure strong.

What hero’s they are. Such a race against time & hot dirty work. My grandson is a voluntary fireman in NZ & I know we would be so worried if he had to tackle blazes like that.
What happy sunshiny flowers!
