Sometimes an image comes out just like I planned. Sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised. And then there's the times I'm disappointed. I really liked the snow on the dead tree, sprawled against the stark vertical lines of the other trees, with the upward angle contrasting the down-s;ope of the ground.
But the end result doesn't really "click" for me. Maybe it's all too busy??
I look at the snow-covered woods and think it's beautiful and would surely make a good picture but I don't often get photos I really like either. I don't know if it's a lack of color or what. There's definitely contrast between the dark bark and the snow. I like that leaning tree in this one — it makes a good focal point. The tangle of branches give a lot of texture to the picture. You've definitely captured a winter scene.
