First off, apologies for the "snapshot" quality here. It is a "sneaked" shot from my iPhone, but supports the story I felt like telling... so, on with it:
I try and walk during my lunchtime, as often as possible. Fortunately, there are several option pretty near my office, all of which have shown up here from time to time. This photo is at Moody Park". This is pretty near my office, with a nice length walking path (1.5 miles). But it has historically had 2 notable drawbacks. First, the trail is (was) crushed gravel. That means dust when it's dry, and mud when it's wet. Always a drag to come back from lunch with your shoes white... and the lower legs of your pants.... And goose-poop. The trail loops around a nice lake, but that draws lots of geese. Lots and lots of geese. And where there are geese, there is goose-poop. Lots and lots of goose poop. This has led to Moody Park being my least favorite spot. But a co-worker mentioned (last week) that they have recently paved the trail, so I had to go check it out. And paved, it is! Flat and smooth and very nice. Except still quite thick in geese. And their by-products... So it is better, but still not best.
