The Fort Duquesne Bridge crosses the Allegheny River, connecting downtown Pittsburgh to the North Shore. Its "sister" is the Fort Pitt Bridge, which crosses the Monongahela River to the South Side. Taken from the walkway along the river. Point State Park, Where the two rivers join to form the Ohio River.
I lived in Pittsburgh in the 70's,and still have family and friends there. I don't get to town as often as I'd like...
Wow! Thanks everybody for the comments and favs! I really appreciate it. I was in town to drop my son for his 2nd year at University of Pittsburgh, was able to spend a little time wandering my old home town.
I love this image! Thanks for entering the Scenes from the Road challenge Larry. You were just pipped to the post by Richard but I look forward to seeing your entries for the next challenge :)
