30-shots2020 - 8 of 30

challenge: " pick a subject, any subject, so long as it is something you will have access to every day during the month of April... and every day, think of a new and different way to take a picture of that subject...".

About a month ago, the Technique Challenge did the Pep Ventosa technique. I thought it looks really interesting, but I didn't get around to trying it. Today I tried it, with my friendly oak tree.

It's pretty outside my normal take on things, I'm not entirely sure how much I like it. But I don't think it is boring!

This is 8 shots of the tree taken from the approximately the North, the Northeast, East, Southeast, South, Southwest, West and Northwest. All stacked in Photoshop (Elements), experiment with the blending until it looks "good". And then some additional tweaking to bring it all home.

Here's the invitation to the challenge (which is long done), but there's some information / link to the technique.

Nicely done - I like a shot that makes me feel less sober than I am ;)

I keep meaning to try this. It certainly brings about an interesting result. Which I rather like.
