Squirrel Appreciation Day

Apparently, last Thursday (Jan. 21) was Squirrel Appreciation Day. Well, I say Bah Humbug! I'm not a fan of the furry fellows, as they raid my bird feeders and run off the birds.

Oh well, I figured I should be a good sport and shoot one of the irritating guys...

He is balancing quite nicely with his full tummy! We end up feeding lots of squirrels and chipmunks too. The last squirrel proof feeder we bought has helped but we feed the ground birds too so there is lots of seed to share.

Great capture. they are quite the pests, I'd suggest a squirrel baffle. If you don't mind a big black cone hanging under your feeder. Got mine on amazon...
