Water Inlet #2, old Chain Of Rocks Bridge by lsquared

Water Inlet #2, old Chain Of Rocks Bridge

One of the inlets for the water treatment plant just upstream of St/ Louis. This one was built around 1915...

The old Chain of Rocks Bridge carried Rt. 66 across the Mississippi river. Built in the 1920's, and closed in the late 1960's, when a new bridge was built to carry I-270 across the river.
Beautiful shot

A great fog capture! Would be nice if the old bridge could be a pedestrian bridge!

@louannwarren @henrir @helenhall Tanks all! And Lou-Ann: The old bridge IS a pedestrian bridge, walking/biking. Very cool
