The birds are loving the bumper crop of grass seed this year! I have had a pair of crimson rosellas nest in my garage roof guttering each season for the last three years, but they have been so clever at hiding in the brickwork that I have not been able to take a single photo, even though I could hear the baby birds chirping away.
It was just starting to rain as I took this shot, so the lighting was fairly dull, but isn't the plumage beautiful even so?
I'm jealous of your bird shots! Not only do you have the most wonderful birds around, but you also manage to capture them (in perfect focus and visibility, that is)!
@stiggle thankyou SO much! I would have loved a bit more light, but I was happy that I think am getting better at selecting the right settings on the tele lens. I am a bit of a sucker for bird shots - I used to do a bit of birdwatching years ago.
Oh to live in a part of the world where you have such beautiful wildlife. You are so lucky Lyn. This is a lovely shot, fantastic colour and very nice post processing etc. Love it!
Hope you are well!
