An experiment with the off camera flash to light the sugar crystals on a swizzle stick. Because of the high contrast, it was quite tricky finding the best position for the flash as I was trying to 'surround' the translucent crystals with light, and I think I still need more practice (or another off camera flash!) Any lighting suggestions gratefully accepted. :D
I play around so much with light.. In a darkened room you could try elevating it and lighting it from below with candles, which could be kept out of shot. And then go for a long exposure. Just an idea.. I love playing with things :)
