Family portrait

My daughter asked for a portrait of her pet conures because she is missing them while she is working interstate. Andre, (who has turned out to be 'Andrea'!) and Nibbla (who has turned out to be 'Mr Nibbler') do not take compositional direction at all, so the challenges were many!

I had some practice with SnapArt ( http://www.alienskin.com/snapart/) and used the masking tool at various strengths and feathering.
That is beautiful! And what lovely pets to have!

Did these two cross dress? Finally got it right, though! Neat photo - they look so full of character!

@maggiemae :) the one on the left is a green cheek conure, and the one on the right is a black capped conure. They do have very cute (and different) personalities.
@laetitiapetrussa thanks for your kind words and encouragement Laetitia! :)

It looks to me as if you got the perfect pose I the end. Fabulous result and I love the editing. They are indeed the most beautiful birds. Do they talk?

@lwain Hi Lindy - the male on the right is suprisingly smart & can mimic me counting by knocking his beak on the nesting box the same number of noises that I make - notsure it is actually "counting" as such though! Oh & I he can say "shut-up" courtesy of my daughter (LOL) !!

@ltodd Excellent I love the interactions one can share with birds tame or wild. I think we constantly underestimate them.
