This is my nephew's alrm clock - well, it was to start with I guess!.
Since starting my 365 project in May 2011, I have always tried to challenge myself to post using a technique, edit or 'eye' that I had not previously used. Today I thought it would be OK to post a Droste effect once again (original post http://365project.org/ltodd/365/2012-01-11 ) - and challenge myself to edit faster...well, one thing led to another, and another, and another....and....well, I can tell you after 3 years, I did not edit any faster at all, - but I did a whole lot of extra layers & steps!!)
Photographically it is a challenge to get the clock face starting image square on, and without reflections.
@northy I was thinking about you when I tried to see if I could do the selection *without* using Topaz ReMask. Ha! (it was a time consuming *fail* & so in the end I did it in ReMask in a tenth of the time!
@ltodd@northy Lyn, okay, I just looked at your other link with the steps. I can see the progression of the initial extraction, droste effect and then onto the layering, background and such. Cool stuff!
Hello Lyn...Love your STYLE...Your ever changing view of the World...
I'm a Newbie and I feel I have much to learn and Experience from all the Amazing Artist here...
@christineaz Hey thanks Christine - sometimes I wonder about where my mind takes my editing!!! ;-D Welcome to 365 & I hope you enjoy & learn as much as I have over the past few years. It is a very supportive community.
I do really enjoy this particular style of fantasy editing the most, and wish I had more time to experiment.
