take two

Here is a shot from 2013 that I have 're-gifted' using the technique from yesterday.

This is something quite different for me that I had been wanting to try for some time. I am not sure that I got the colours I was trying for - but after working on this for way too many hours, they are all starting to look the same to my eyes. Anyway... I learnt that the next great editing idea I 'must try', better not involve masking 4 layers simultaneously cos I make too may blunders.

Thanks for stopping by guys, you are all so talented, inspiring and encouraging! :)
Oh my gracious! This is amazing! You are totally into creating art out of your photography! I have no idea how you did this but it is so awesome ! Mad skills! FAV

I like this - a true fairy-tale feeling - not the kiddy-like one, but more like a myth or a legend with enchanted forests and gods turning into deer.

This is awesome.
Is the background yours or a stock image?
It really goes well with the animals in the foreground.

@stevecameras thanks Steve! There are 5 different abstract textures I layered to try & make it look like a pine Forrest

@ltodd I clicked on your links to look at the textures, I might try and free one to see what I can do with it.

@stevecameras you can also easily change the look & colour of the free ones using colour balance & levels, or colour lookup in PS. I think they have quite a 'refined' feel.

@ltodd Thank you for the tip!
