Like it or not times change. On the eve of a brand new year, I reflect on the transition that occurs during this night - time moves from the dark night of the old year, into the breaking dawn of the new. There are two constants --- we can stand still, but life will continue to change around us; and eventually, dawn arrives.
Taken in my front yard after dusk - with a focus on the gum trees next door, I pulled the zoom lens inwards while the shutter was open.
Not something I would usually post, but I have been thinking about a challenge from @aprilmilani about non-literal captures.
ISO 12800 and 1/4 second exposure 200mm down to 70. Export straight from LR, gritty noise and all!
@deborah63 yes - I rested the camera on the rubbish bin lid and had both hands free to shoot and zoom simultaneously. I guess I could have used 2 sec delay on the shutter if I had thought about it!
@aprilmilani thanks April - I don't 'like' feeling 'exposed' shooting like this, but I do really understand and value what can be learnt by thinking through and undertaking the process, even if it feels uncomfortable at the time!
