some fly, some don't

If we think we are bound, we are bound.

A composite of images -
balloons from my 2012 trip to Cappadoccia
the dried mud from the local duck pond
the wonderful tree on the Canberra to Jindabyne road
and the model is in the carpark at the end of my road.

Photography facilitates minds' travel, whether by imagery or edit

@bella_ss contact me anytime if you think I can provide any guidance. Compositing has meant I can find a use for some of the thousands of unused images I have taken since starting my 365 project. :)

@summerfield yes - another 'dark' point of view from me this month!

@shepherdmanswife @onewing @thistle @ziggy77 thankyou all! I have had a bit of time off work, so I indulged in some wild editing!

This reminds me of an artist whose name is escaping me right now- very fanciful and wonderful editing!

Marvelous magical rendition. Once again I find myself wondering re where the light is coming from...the balloons have left side shadows, the woman seems to be lit on her back though her right shoulder is a bit lighter than left making me think lit from right and back and then there is the mysterious mist to her right and the sky brightest in middle bottom. It works wonderfully just catches my growing eye for light and shadows

@jgpittenger yes - I flipped the balloon and the girl to match the tree which has the light on the right side (kind of near the misty areas). This is always the challenge when blending images taken in different light quality & angle. It is best to start with elements with soft neutral light as it is easy to blend & add lighting than taking down highlights. Swirling foggy lighting is one approach used to 'trick' the viewer with the adjusted lighting for many elements.

Another wonderful composite Lyn. I can't wait until I fire up ny big screen this afternoon to have a really good look at this. I don't think my itty bitty phone is doing it justice.

@deborah63 :) yeah it needs viewing on black & large to get the best dimension balance.

It absolutely sings on black Lyn. I can only imagine you spent many hours on this.
It makes me feel like the girl is viewing the world after a holocaust and has been left behind by the getaway balloons, bound and tied to the earth forever. There is such a storey here..

How creatively artistic, as is a painter, and beautifully presented!
