I spent the day working out how to use the Publish Services in LR for uploads to FB and Flickr. Ahhh, there is always some new technology to master....
Here is an old shot that I edited today - I decided I preferred the granite in it's original flesh colour rather than B&W because it added a gentle human touch to the architecture.
The colouring is really wonderful. So much to like about this shot. Love how it seems to lean in and draws the viewer's eye into the scene, love the reflections in the paving. I've just noticed the flagpole in the distance...is this in Canberra? Fantastic shot. Absolute fav!
Wonderful tones and leading lines. A different take on the usual views of the war memorial and parliament house, I shall have to look more closely when I get there.
@jgpittenger yes - interesting comparison! I am still checking if I have chosen the optimal LR auto upload settings, but think I am getting my head around the process.
An incredibly talented architect designed this building! He/she obviously studied the trajectory of the sun too. This is breathtaking! I love the flesh color! Favorite!
@louannwarren thanks Lou Ann :) It is quite an unusual and very grand city plan for the Country's Capital City! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parliamentary_Triangle,_Canberra It is designed to have Parliament house visible from most areas of the city. The flag pole you see in the distance is actually hundreds of feet high! The walls are not from a building per se, but are retaining walls built specifically to provide the line of sight walkway.
@ltodd Well here's to the Walter Burley Griffins of the world! Incredibly creative design minds make all the difference in our cities, I am blown away by the National Triangle. What a monumental treasure for your country (and city)!
