#365: enjoyed the ride

I'm having that "blinking cursor" moment. (You know the one where you are supposed to "write" something but the thoughts are too overwhelming so the cursor just *blinks* at the start.) : \

LOVES: *Scrolling through my project, I can remember each and EVERY day of this past year. *One day my children will read and see a year in their life. *My children were able to see their mommy set a goal and complete it. *Starting out, I knew NOTHING about the technical aspects of photography and today, I can at least take shots in Manual! *How I started to see the world around me. *How my project shifted from objects to faces. *Meeting an incredible community of photographers who inspire and challenge me. *The support of my husband. *What this process has revealed in me. *Watching the doors of opportunity open. *The fact that I finished! *Having so many members of our family participate. *To see the growth in composition. *Getting out to get a shot.

LIKES: *Editing. *Shooting in Manual. *Seeing this dream become more of a reality. *Saving for a Nikon D700. *The challenge. *When people talk with me about my pictures I am amazed by what they say. *What you can capture when you are looking for it.

DISLIKES: *How much I still have to learn! *Lighting. *The voices in my head. *Pride. *Time management issues. *Carrying the gear. *Forgetting to run through the mental check list! *Forgetting my polarizer. *Blur. *Stinking ISO. *Lack of patience. *The late nights.

FINAL THOUGHT: This process has taught me more than the simple discipline of learning my camera...I've cried, been frustrated, lost, elated, laughed, proud, clueless, sick, stunned, speachless, challenged, intimidated, humbled, grateful, blessed, alive...and I've enjoyed the ride!
