@louannwarren Loadshedding is when our state owned electricity supplier interrupts the supply to avoid excessive load on the generating plant. They are bankrupt, and most of the plants are not functioning anymore. So they keep us in the dark to avoid a total collapse. It the government does not intervene, we will have no more electricity in SA in April :-(
@ludwigsdiana oh dear. This is so hard to think about. In extremely hot summers sometimes in the densely populated regions of our country we have rolling blackouts for a short period of time - a last resort to avoid total blackouts. I just Googled rolling blackouts and it is another term for loadshedding. Well Iâm so sorry, this is a possible real tragedy for your country.
