such great framing of this view - such elegant buildings - would you describe this architecture as Dutch influenced? We had some houses in the village where I grew up which had architecture like this, which were influenced by links to the Netherlands

@shannejw Yes Shanne it is, called Cape Dutch. When the first Dutch settlers arrived, this is what they built in the early 1600's. Most of our wine farms have this style manor home. Stellenbosch being one of the oldest towns, has many old Dutch influenced buildings which are lovely.

@sangwann Yes Dione, in the early 1600's this is what the first Dutch settlers built. They are all still in use and in perfect condition.
