along the Sea Point promenade. Being the Atlantic Ocean, it is cold and rough. Most of the coastline is very rocky with huge kelp fields.

Is the kelp harvested? There’s a large industry around seaweed in California. This is a lovely beach.

Beautiful view. Most of our coastline is rocky, too. I think it is more interesting for photography than plain sandy beaches.

@louannwarren Some of it does get harvested Lou Ann, I could not find out what for ;-)
@merrelyn @etienne @radiogirl It is only on the Atlantic side that is so rugged. The Indian ocean on the other side of the peninsula have the usual beautiful white sand beaches :-)
