Olive blossoms

I find it rather strange that some trees have an abundance of little buds and blooms, where others have almost none.They are such minute little blossoms.

That is a new one for me. I have seen olives on the branches, but never the blossoms. There are a lot of mysteries in nature -- I am sure it evolved this way for a reason. Nice photo by the way!
