which is a fabulous winery and hotel with wonderful views. The only winery I know that also has a Cigar and Gin bar. Fortunately it is just down the road from where we live. This was the only angle to avoid all the people enjoying their drinks.
I don't think you can have a bad angle with those gorgeous scenery you are surrounded by. So clean, fresh green colors. I will pass on the cigar bar...gin on the other hand....
I find it really interesting that all of your wineries are also resorts. Our wineries around here are mostly for producing wine- although some do have the ability to purchase food (not as a restaurant but on specific nights as "entertainment"). I'm sure there's some sort of regulation that keeps them from going that route and sticking just to wine. Nice shot!
Love the comp with that beautiful background and I like the shadows on the umbrella. I’m glad you mentioned about intentionally avoiding a shot with people because I have been wondering if they were all vacant because of the virus.
@olivetreeann We were very surprised on our trip to Germany last year Ann. We went to a very famous winemaking area to spend a few days. There were none that offered anything except wine or water! the only places in Germany where you can also eat, are the beer gardens. We are so spoilt here as almost all of them have lovely restaurants, either inside or outside under shady trees. Some also offer wonderful picnic baskets to enjoy on their beautiful properties. A food and wine lovers paradise ;-)
@ludwigsdiana Our wineries could take a cue from that! The one winery is coming close- you can't stay there but they do have entertainment and a buffet once a month. You can also book one tasting room for parties. But so far no place to stay overnight.
what a grand place to just sit, relax and enjoy the scenery with a great glass of wine. one of the places to visit in the future. aces on the set up. i like it.
@summerfield Thanks so much Vikki, it would be wonderful if we can sit and sip our wine together
