Gordons Bay

a charming little fishing town in the False Bay. Strand is the closest beach to us which is about 20minutes away. Just around the corner is this beautiful little bay at the foot of the Kogelberg nature reserve. Those mountains are the Hottentots Holland mountain range.

@christinav It owes it's name to the erroneous beliefs of sailors at the time of the first circumnavigation of Africa, whose disappointment was great when they realized they had not yet circumnavigated the Cape and had thus not reached Cape Town yet. Since then it is called False Bay and stretches across 116kms.
@grammyn I follow her too Katy, we wanted to meet when covid is over! I have not heard from Gillian since :-(
