The Knysna Loerie........ by ludwigsdiana

The Knysna Loerie........

seen at Birds of Eden near Plettenberg Bay. It is the worlds largest single dome, free flight, multi-species aviary. There are roughly 3,500 birds in the park and compromise of over 200 species. It is partly dark as in a rain forest, so I had problems getting all clear shots, so please excuse the quality of some. I will post1 a day.

Such beautiful birds. We saw a couple at the Storms River mouth a couple of years ago. Sadly they were in dense bush so absolutely no way to get any photos.

@salza We have been playing golf in Knysna for over 20 years Sally, only once have I seen one. That only as it flew out of a bush and has these wonderful red feathers underneath the wings.
