Crayfish, part of our Christmas lunch.

They were put to sleep in cold water before I cooked them (to avoid the shock) I was wearing a blue t-shirt which reflected in the water.

We put ours in the freezer to put them to sleep. I've been told that it's better than cold water, because putting them in fresh water can cause some of their cells to burst which could be painful.
