Thanks for telling me about the spot focus! Slowly but surely I am getting somewhere. This is only the second Butterfly I have ever shot. The first was not worth posting. We very seldom have Butterflies here due to the spraying of the vines and Olive trees.

The beautiful Painted Lady. Did you know this lovely butterfly has a 12,000 kilometer migration bringing it from sub Saharan Africa to Britain and beyond and then back???

@ludwigsdiana It is a multi generation migration and was only confirmed a few years ago. It is much longer than the Mexico to Canada and back of the Monarch butterfly. j
