so beautifully done diana. a really sympathetic texture also. think i've asked you this before - you always blend the textures so well with your subject - and i think you said you don't cut the subject out, so do you just mask off the texture? i can never get it so neat, without a halo ... do you use a very low opacity near the edges??? hope i'm making myself clear ;)

@pistache In this case Clare, I opened the flower, brought in a texture (place embedded) and played with the blending mode. A bit of masking was done and I lower the opacity to about 20% near the edges. Often I first bring in the texture, add the subject on top, and mask using different opacity where needed. Sometimes I will then "place embedded" and just lower the opcacity ;-)
