Today I went out to photograph bees and spent a happy hour mostly watching them. Then I decided that it was such a nice day I would play with water and this was the result. I had meant to look up a tutorial on how best to do this but was too impatient. This is not necessarily my best or most focussed effort but I just loved the colours. I was trying to use a narrow DOF to get the sparkly effect.
@ellimae Ellen I got the colours with the help of the sun. Thank you so much for the Fav. I had such a lot of fun taking these shots so am genuinely delighted if people like them.
@judithdeacon Thank you so much Judith. As I said before I had so much fun taking these today so am awfully glad that they appeal to people other than myself.
Instant FAV. And then when I enlarged it I wanted to FAV it again.
Great job. Sorry about the sunburn but I think it might have been worth it.
How did you do it? What is the water on?
@cdonohoue Thanks for the FAV Cathy! It is just water droplets on a CD in the sun. I have seen tutorials for doing this on long exposure in the dark with coloured light but I wanted to play outside so I just used the sun and then I really wanted those sparkly bits not just the drops.
