This was taken at Foulshaw Moss in Cumbria where the ospreys visit every year.

The trees on the left are where they were but as you can see you need VERY strong binoculars to get a glimpse. A kind gentleman gave us a look through his and the osprey decided just as I was watching to fly to some other trees - made my day! You can join the Lake District Osprey Project on Facebook and they have some spectacular videos of what is happening in the nest if any one is interested.

Lovely soft tones -- what a terrific place to hike and get a glimpse of the osprey. We can see our pair on top of the tall communication tower on the road into town. The pair comes every year and we can see them working to 'renovate' their nest after the long winter away.
