Another Place

We drove to Crosby yesterday to view the sculptures by Antony Gormley. Apparently there are 100 of them along the beach but we didn't get chance to stroll the beach as the tide came in so quickly. As soon as I arrived I took this photo then noticed people running and the tide was sweeping in behind me - very quickly! So only got a few shots before they were under water.
Wow I didn't know there were that many ... They make me think about that english show Reggie Perrin ... I wonder if that is what inspired him..

This is a place on my bicket list. All those great sculptures, the puddles and reflections, the sea,... you have captured it so well, love it.

Fascinating - I had to go and google this to find out more...100 statues! Wow! There was one near us at Kimmeridge but it kept getting washed away in storms. Great photo

100 statues along the beach is a very impressive art installation. I've seen them on 365 before but I didn't know they become submerged when the tide comes in. Interesting! This shot has a lot of feeling to it with the statue's face turned away from us. Good shot!

I love the Antony Gormley statues. They must look quite creepy when the tide is in.

Very cool looking statue, and I like how he looks like he's intensely looking out to sea.

What an amazing sculpture and choice of setting. I wonder what will happen to him in really high tides

interesting to see and read about this ... pretty cool that he's under water at high tide

Gee that seems like quite a scary place to be. I like how the sculpture is looking out to sea, to chthe ck the incoming tide.
