I met Violet today at the Peoria Zoo; what a sweetie! She stood and let me rub her ears for the longest time. And then she allowed me to take her picture as well.
Because this was taken with a Lensbaby, the fence came out looking rather dreamy, even ethereal, which is not the usual appearance of fencing at a zoo.
I so appreciate the creativity that 365 inspires, demands, requires. (The description changes depending on the day...!)
2014 was my first year on 365...
really like the sympathetic softness, very dreamlike/ethereal.. the focus on the eye is beautifully done, still the softness but backed by clarity.. great reflection in the eye too.. love the whole thing..
What a little beauty she is. I can imagine the time you spent communing with her, and how loving and therapeutic it was to both of you! She gave you a beautiful photo!
@nicolecampbell Thanks for that expressive comment, Nicole. I appreciate your sharing that thought. I've since added to the commentary that the picture was taken with a Lensbaby which has given the left side its usual appearance. While I first thought the fence was going to wreck the picture, it ended up giving it unique character.
@Weezilou "Therapuetic"... for sure! It was warm in the sunshine where we were standing and she was half asleep as I scratched behind her ears. If I happened to stop or slow down, her eyes would open which I took to mean "Don't stop yet, please."
@jorlam So appreciate your in-depth evaluations and comments on photos. You really see the details which makes the effort to get them all the more worth it. :)
Thanks for your wonderful comment on my frozen bubble photo! :)
